CMS Issues New WCMSA Reference Guide Version 4.4

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued an updated version of the Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set Aside (WCMSA) Reference Guide, Section 4.4 updating CDC Life Tables.

The CDC Life Tables being utilized by CMS beginning June 14, 2025, is Table 1: Life Table for the total population: United States, 2022. You can download the current life table here. The Life Tables are used by CMS to calculate adjusted life expectancies for WCMSAs.
